Early Life of Eric Church
The Chief was born in North Caroline on May 3, 1977 to parents Ken and Rita Church. In his early days, when he didn’t start his music, Eric helped his father with his furniture company known as Clayton Marcus.
When Erich church was 13 years old, he bought his first guitar and start writing songs on his own, with no training whatsoever. When he was in high school, he found a gig at the local bar where he performed songs that he wrote to enhance his songwriting and performance skills.
Eric also used to perform with a band that his college roommates formed, the band name was The Mountain Boys.
