According to George, “Norma is the first girl I fell in love with, we studied together and we went on our first date, I didn’t propose to her. It was my mistake; I missed the chance.

When the pair married, George was a new member of the US Army and transferred to the city of Hawaii. He started his musical career after tying the knot. He first performed in the army-supporting band Rambling Country.

Norma’s Children

In the years of their marriage when George was in the US Army, the couple revealed the good news of their first child, a daughter Jennifer Lynn Strait in 1972.
