Stella has been portrayed as an antagonist who has made an elaborate blackmail scheme targeting Min Ho. She threatens to expose sensitive information about Min Ho’s family unless he helps her in winning the school’s talent competition.

Stella cleverly uses information about Joon Ho’s girlfriend and backup dancer, Eun Ji, who’s also pregnant with Joon Ho’s child. This information has a threatening affect on Joon Ho’s public image.

The Talent Competition Performances

The entire season 2 revolves around the pivotal talent competition. This competition ends up showcasing the diverse talents of the institute’s students.

Dae delivers a performance of Jungkook’s “Seven” with his friends stepping in as backup dancers after his original team is sabotaged. Similarly, we see Eunice wow the audience with her incredible vocals.

Stella’s Downfall

As the season reaches its climax, Kitty and Min Ho team up to expose Stella’s blackmail scheme. They do this by informing Mr. Moon of the situation.

Stella’s leverage is made useless when Joon Ho publicly acknowledges Eun Ji’s pregnancy and proposes to her on stage. Stella ends up getting disqualified from the competition.

Kitty’s Family Reunion Efforts

In Season 2, Kitty is determined to reunite her grandmother (Halmoni) with her estranged sister, Soon Ja. Decades earlier, some unforeseen circumstances ended up drawing a rift between the two sisters causing them to lose contact.

With the help of her cousin, Jiwon, Kitty ends up bringing the two sisters together despite several challenges. The emotional moment brings closure to long-standing family wounds.

Min Ho’s Emotional Growth

We see Min Ho going through significant personal growth during this season. When his initial romantic interest in Kitty is not reciprocated, he chooses to focus on himself.

He also joins his family’s summer tour which allows him to strengthen his relationship with his father. This path of self-discovery sets the stage for potential future developments.

Kitty’s Bold Proposal

At the end of the season, Kitty realizes her feelings for Min Ho and decides to act on them. As Kitty comes to the realization, Min Ho is preparing to join his family’s summer tour.

Kitty makes a bold decision and asks Min Ho if he can wait for her, and that she will see him when he gets back. Min Ho agrees to wait for her.

Anna Cathcart’s Comments

Anna in an interview with Decider said, “I think for Kitty, she’s gotten to really explore the Yuri storyline, and kind of got that out of her system, so to speak. She really got to give everything a chance and make sure she listened to her heart, and now this is where her heart has led her.”

She also added, “I think Kitty just can’t even help it. She will follow her heart all the time. And that’s like one of the things I love about her the most. And she definitely does do that this season.”

Sang Heon Lee’s Comments

Lee also shared his thoughts regarding Min Ho’s character development and the ending. He said, “I don’t think he closed his mind for Kitty.”

The actor added, “He only just tried to tell himself and let her know that despite anyone liking me or me liking that other person, I’m going to try to find myself as well.”

Kitty’s Personal Growth

Season 2 has seen major character development for Kitty. Throughout the season, Kitty has explored different relationships, mended the relationship between two estranged sisters, and strengthened her connection to her heritage.
