From long-lasting marriages to whirlwind romances, many of country music’s most iconic couples have found love both on and off the stage.
These power couples have become an inspiration to fans. They show that love and success can go hand-in-hand in the often hectic world of entertainment. Here’s a look at some of the most enduring and captivating love stories in country music.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood initially met in 1987 while working on a demo track. Their romantic relationship didn’t begin until 2002.
They were both married to others at the time they first met. After their divorces, they found love. They tied the knot in December 2005. Although they don’t have children together, they have raised Garth’s three daughters from his first marriage.

In 2009, Shania Twain fell in love once more with Swiss business magnate Frédéric Thiébaud following her traumatic divorce from her first husband, Robert Lange.
Fascinatingly, Shania’s best friend used to be Marie-Anne, Frédéric’s first wife. When Shania found out that Marie-Anne was allegedly having an affair with Robert, this changed. Frédéric and Shania took solace in one another.

Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins have known each other since first grade in Nashville, Tennessee. In sixth grade, they met again at a summer camp, and briefly dated in high school before deciding to remain friends. After reconnecting as adults, their friendship blossomed into romance, leading to their marriage in 2012.
Thomas wrote his number-one hit song “Die a Happy Man” for Lauren. The song is about a man desiring his woman’s love. It was the most-played country song for six weeks and won multiple awards.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw met each other in 1994, but developed a relationship later. They are among the most well-known couples in country music.
It wasn’t until Faith went on tour with Tim two years after they first met at a showcase for up-and-coming country musicians that things took off. Following a brief courtship, the singers were married in a surprise wedding in October 1996.

Fellow Australians Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman first met in 2005 at a Hollywood gala honoring Australians in entertainment. Their connection was instant, leading to a whirlwind romance.
The couple tied the knot in June 2006 and have remained together ever since. Their love story continues to inspire, and they share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Ironically, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Brad Paisley’s real-life romance started before the actress was even aware of it.
Brad fell in love with Kimberly in 1991 after seeing her in Father of the Bride. Ten years later, Brad included her in the music video for his song “I’m Gonna Miss Her” from 2001. His perseverance paid off. The two were married in March 2003.

When Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher embarked on their first date in 2008, Mike was only starting his career, but Carrie was already an established star.
Thankfully, the Canadian hockey player and the country singer clicked. They were married in July 2010. Thanks to their two kids, Isaiah and Jacob, they have grown into a family of four more than ten years later.

In 2015, Katelyn Jae Brown attended one of Kane Brown’s gigs. This led to their first meeting. He was immediately enamored and resolved to make things work.
At the time, Jae was located in Miami, and Brown lived in Orlando. After several years of courtship, the couple married in October 2018. They had two kids, Kingsley and Kodi.

Morgane Stapleton and Chris Stapleton met in 2003 while both were songwriters in Nashville. They quickly fell in love.
Four years later, in October 2007, they married. Since then, their relationship has flourished, and they became parents to five children. Their shared passion for music and deep connection has made them one of country music’s most beloved power couples.

In January 2020, Reba McEntire and Rex Linn started dating. Through frequent “coffee camps,” they became acquainted. The actor from CSI: Miami and the country music artist have the cutest nicknames for one another.
Their friendship, full of humorous moments and loving nicknames, has won over fans’ hearts. It has also revealed a charming side of both celebrities outside of their careers.

Blake Shelton’s ex-wife and fellow country music performer Miranda Lambert has also found love. Miranda met her second husband, Brendan McLoughlin, while performing with her band, The Pistol Annies, on Good Morning America in 2018.
When Miranda revealed that she had married Brendan a month prior, it shocked fans in February 2019. At the time, Brendan was an NYPD officer. Over three years later, the two still seem to be in love.

The 27-year-old Perfect Match star Justin Assada shared a picture of the 34-year-old singer of “Push Me Over.” He was drinking a drink while seated comfortably opposite her at a fancy restaurant on his Instagram Story.
She told PEOPLE last month that she would only consider dating “a spectacularly impressive individual [who could] add something to my life.” She added that she is now “really, really happy with what I’ve built.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton first became friends as coaches on The Voice in 2014 while they were still married to other people. However, the two filed for divorce in 2015 within a month of each other, and going through divorces at the same time brought them even closer.
By the end of 2015, Stefani and Shelton were a confirmed couple, and in July 2021, they got married at long last.

Luke Combs and Nicole Combs (née Hocking) met for the first time at the Key West Songwriters Festival in 2016, when Luke was still a struggling musician. It was love at first sight (Luke wrote “Crazy Beautiful” about Nicole before they were even an official couple).
In August 2020, they said “I do.” The lovebirds are currently getting ready to welcome their first child together, a son, in spring 2022.
Throughout history, numerous groundbreaking musicians have shaped country music, including influential Black artists who have made an undeniable impact on the genre.
