Are you ready for a new, thrilling take on the world’s most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes? Sherlock & Daughter is coming to The CW.
An unexpected twist has been added to the legendary investigator’s story. This time around, the stakes will be raised, and the danger heightened, with Sherlock’s life at stake along with that of the entire world.

The new mystery thriller series is set to be released on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. The series will be live at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). Sherlock and Daughter is going to introduce a new and fresh narrative to the iconic Sherlock Holmes saga.
The premiere is going to be part of The CW’s spring lineup. The lineup also includes the return of the popular Sullivan’s Crossing and Children Ruin Everything.

Sherlock and Daughter will reimagine the classic Sherlock Holmes narrative. The series follows Sherlock Holmes and a young American woman named Amelia.
Upon the murder of her mother, Amelia realizes that the famous detective who’s helping her on the case might just be her father. The duo teams up to unravel a global conspiracy.

The upcoming series follows the iconic detective, Sherlock Holmes, as he finds himself amid a dangerous conspiracy designed by none other than his archenemy.
This forces Sherlock to go on a journey and solve the case without the help of his close friends. During his mission, he comes into contact with Amelia Rojas, who’s seeking Sherlock’s help in solving her mother’s murder.

The character of Sherlock Holmes will be played by none other than David Thewlis. Amelia Rojas is going to be portrayed by Blu Hunt, adding depth to the character.
Dougray Scott is all set to play Professor Moriarty. We’ll also see Antonio Aakeel playing Swann and Orén Kinlan, portraying the character of Shaw McPherson.

The dangerous and ever-cunning antagonist is going to be none other than Professor James Moriarty in Sherlock & Daughter. Moriarty is a criminal mastermind.
He’s often referred to as the Napoleon of crime who designs complex schemes hidden away from the world. In the upcoming series, Moriarty’s scheme will threaten not only Sherlock but also the world as a whole.

Sherlock & Daughter is set in the year 1895. The viewers will be taken back to the rich Victorian-era London.
The series is expected to do a great job of capturing the era’s distinctive atmosphere. Filming took place in Dublin and County Wicklow, Ireland, where locations were transformed to depict 19th-century London.

Foley, a Northern Irish writer, producer, and director, has done high-quality work. Besides co-writing Under The Wire, he also wrote and directed The Riddle, with his work well-known around the globe.

Beyond the main characters, the supporting cast is also nothing less than talented for the upcoming series. We’ve got Gia Hunter as Clara Anderson.
Ivana Milicevic will play Marjorie Anderson. Paul Reid is all set to play Inspector Bullivant, a law-enforcement officer who’ll contribute to the law side of the story.

Albion Television has closely collaborated with Starlings on Sherlock & Daughter. StoryFirst was involved in the development, production, and financing of the upcoming mystery-thriller drama series.
