Kenny Chesney's been out of the loop for a while now after taking the last year off from his normally hectic life on the road, but he's back with a new single and promises of more to come.

Kenny has announced his next single is American Kids, a "multi-tempo celebration of the spirit of young America that packs not one, but two hooks and an innovative lyrical scan," whatever all that means. Paisley's 2014 tour is now officially called the Country Nation World Tour presented by KRAFT Cheese and kicks off in Philadelphia, PA on May 16.

Strangely enough, I hadn't heard about any tragedy and the statement didn't tell what happened. I had to go and find out the details myself.

It's always surreal working backwards on this sort of story.
