It always seems a little strange to me to see someone whose name I'm already aware of heading to a television show to compete. It's not that it's a bad thing and I don't fault them for trying whatever it takes to make it, it just seems an unusual way to go once you've already had some success in Nashville.
This week two singers that I've previously covered here on NashvilleGab are giving two different competitions a whirl.
We've all been there. You're sitting in your car minding your own business when one of your favorite songs comes on the radio and suddenly you're in car karaoke mode.
Then you look over and someone in another car is giving you a funny look.
Yep, I'm sure we've all been there.
Well Brett Eldredge came across a lady who was sitting at a gas station having a car karaoke moment with one of his songs, so he did what any normal person would do … he snuck up behind her and joined in the fun.
Once in a blue moon I will hear someone sing that will bring me to tears. This is one of those times. Yeah, yeah, I'm a total sap. Chris…
When Miranda Lambert announced details of her new album "Platinum" yesterday and revealed that she had a collaboration with Carrie Underwood, fans naturally wanted to know more.
During a new interview on Yahoo, the singer tells how the duet with Carrie came to be.

I sent her an email … a long, blabbing email about if she wanted to sing on the record, it could be cool, but maybe she didn't want to, and if she liked the song, but she didn't have to like the song … when I sent it I thought this sounds ridiculous."
Ridiculous or not, I'm pretty sure the song, which is called Something Bad, is going to be more like something completely awesome!
"Platinum" hits stores June 3.

So did you see that Kenny Loggins recently got animated? Fans of FX's popular animated adult series Archer may have recently recognized the singer's voice when he showed up to…
In a world where most young singers are making the news for negative things like oh say, egging a neighbor's house, country singer Danielle Bradbery is spending her days at the St. Jude's Children hospital. The "Voice" winner shared this photo from her instagram:
While being interviewed by London's Capital Radio, Jackson was asked to recite (singing isn't really the right word to describe this video) Taylor Swift's We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. He obliged and the result is the best damn interpretation of a Taylor Swift song you'll hear all day.
