Nothing like waiting four years to find out a rumor is true or not.
Back in 2010, Us Weekly reported that Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and Miranda Lambert nearly got into a barroom brawl during her 27th birthday party in Nashville after Miranda wouldn't do shots with Kroeger.
A battle broke out at Miranda Lambert’s 27th birthday party at Winners Bar & Grill in Nashville November 10, when the singer refused to do shots with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, 36. “Chad kept persisting, and Miranda said no,” says the witness. “He responded she ‘didn’t have to be a bitch about it.’ Then she grabbed the shot and threw it in his face!” Soon after, Lambert’s fiance, fellow country star Blake Shelton, 34, jumped in to attack Kroeger. “But people kept Blake away,” says the insider.
After the rumored fight, Blake's people released a statement that said: “No fists were thrown. Blake is a peacekeeper and doesn’t start fights.”
You would think that after four years the rumored fight would be old news, but Blake brought it back up in the issue of Rolling Stone that Miranda recently covered and showed that, at least to Blake, it's still newsworthy.
Ha! What a great song. When I read on Rolling Stone that Kacey Musgraves had debuted a new song on The Tonight Show Thursday evening, I assumed it was another single…
She's been quickly moving away from the genre that made her a superstar, but is Taylor Swift finally exiting country music altogether?
Reuters According to Fox News the # 1 country fued belonged to the Eric Church vs Miranda Lambert/Carrie Underwood debacle. I'm sure this was largely in part to Miranda's…
Kacey Musgraves has finally broken her silence on what was going through her mind the night of the CMA Awards when she gave Miranda Lambert that look after Miranda had won the Female Vocalist category, an award both ladies were up for.
You know the look.
Kacey recently spoke with Rolling Stone and says the look didn't mean anything and she's just not used to this whole camera thing yet.
“As a new artist, I’m still getting used to cameras being on me 24/7,” Musgraves explains. “And there’s no way you can be caught smiling at all times. If you know me, sometimes when I’m just sitting there, it looks like I’m not having a good time, but I am!"
Tom Petty made his bold, controversial opinion known regarding the state of modern country music in a recent interview with industry publication Rolling Stone (see his statements below). In response, singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton, whose recent "What Are You Listening To?" single is making headway at country radio, responded by sharing an open letter to Petty on his Facebook.
"I think it's safe to say most modern country artists, including me, would list you as an influence," Stapleton began his note. "Your recent comments lead me to believe you see room for improvement in modern country music. I, for one, would like to see you put you money where your mouth is in a tangible way."
