Carrie Underwood lets her inner princess fly free, debuts new song at Salute to the Troops event

Carrie Underwood let her inner princess (or '50s prom queen if you prefer) fly free at Monday night's ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops where she also debuted a new song that was written specifically for the show. 

According to Gab friend Jason, Carrie along with Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey and Shane McAnally penned the song, called Keep Us Safe, for Carrie to sing at the event.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton to duet for the troops

Once all the awards have been handed out at Sunday night's ACM's and all the after parties have ended, some of the stars will be sticking around Vegas to help raise some money for charity and to say a well-deserved thank you to the brave men and women who serve this country in the armed forces. 

On Monday night, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will perform together for ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops, a concert to honor the country's remarkable servicemen and women and to raise money for ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy.

100,000 fans to join George Strait on final tour stop

Six-time Grammy Award-winning group Asleep At The Wheel will open the show at AT&T Stadium, and country superstars Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack will perform three songs each. Strait will perform a full set of his legendary career-making hits.
 
"Wow. To see this response from the fans to our final show is humbling and exciting at the same time," said Strait. "This is going to be an incredible night and I feel very blessed this holiday knowing how many of you we'll get to see next year on our final tour."
