It’s going to be a Carnival … Country stars set to perform on cruises this year

Carnival Cruise Lines is getting ready to become extra musical this year with the announcement of their Carnival Live Concert Series. 

On Wednesday, the company announced that it has lined up an impressive group of stars who will all be performing for passengers on board the cruise ships throughout 2014. Unlike other recent music-based cruises, however, Carnival plans on having the performers do their thing while the ships are in port at various locations rather than while they are at sea.

After what seems like forever, Lucy Hale is FINALLY set to release her debut single tomorrow. 

Seriously, it seems like we've been hearing about this girl for years and years. Let's just hope all the hype's been worth it (you can listen to Lucy singing the song live at the end of this post). 

You Sound Good To Me, written by top tunesmiths Ashley Gorley, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, is the actress and singer’s first single and will be available for download starting tomorrow at  iTunes and Amazon

Martina McBride officially becomes 7th act to quit SeaWorld performance

And we have a winner. Ding! Ding! Ding!

Last night I had mentioned that there were three more country stars scheduled to perform at SeaWorld's Bands, Brew & BBQ event next year – Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, and Justin Moore – and wondered who would be next to drop out since acts were dropping like flies. 

And that winner of the race is now officially Martina McBride who took to her Facebook on Saturday to make the announcement to fans.

100,000 fans to join George Strait on final tour stop

Six-time Grammy Award-winning group Asleep At The Wheel will open the show at AT&T Stadium, and country superstars Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack will perform three songs each. Strait will perform a full set of his legendary career-making hits.
 
"Wow. To see this response from the fans to our final show is humbling and exciting at the same time," said Strait. "This is going to be an incredible night and I feel very blessed this holiday knowing how many of you we'll get to see next year on our final tour."
