Jamey Johnson’s apparently become Randy Travis’ horse caretaker

Jamey Johnson is one of those guys I desperately wish would release some new music. Unfortunately, apart from his 2012 album Living For A Song: A Tribute To Hank Cochran, the bearded one has been pretty quiet. 

Oh sure, he's still playing loads of shows, but there doesn't seem to be any sign of new music to come. 

So what has Jamey been up to all this time besides playing lots of shows? Well apparently he's been working hard at watching videos about training horses.

Turns out that after Randy Travis' major health issues last year, Jamey promised that he'd take care of his horses for him.

Nashville bar owner shoots and kills country singer

Here's a tragic story out of Nashville. 

A Nashville bar owner shot and killed an Alabama country singer early Saturday morning after a completely senseless fight. 

According to reports, Wayne Mills, 44, lead singer of The Wayne Mills Band, got into an altercation with Chris Ferrell, owner of the Pit and Barrel Bar on Second Avenue in Nashville, after Mills allegedly lit up a cigarette in the non-smoking part of the bar. That's when Ferrell allegedly shot Mills, who later died at a Nashville hospital. The two were reportedly good friends.

Alabama invites their famous friends over for a televised concert on GAC

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eli Young Band, Florida Georgia Line, Jamey Johnson, and Trisha Yearwood are a few of Alabama's famous friends who are stopping by to join the legendary band during a concert special airing next week on GAC. 

"For me, they were the Beatles," said Jason Aldean about country music super group ALABAMA in ALABAMA & Friends, a one-hour concert event premiering Wednesday, November 27, 9:00 p.m./ET on Great American Country. "Through Randy's voice, the songs, his charisma on stage, he had people in the palm of his hand. Watching the reaction those guys got from the crowd was part of the reason I wanted to be an entertainer."
