Scoring a second week at the top of the Billboard Country chart, Thomas Rhett will make both his late night and daytime national television debuts, performing the #1 hit “It Goes Like This.”…
Superstar and ACM Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan kept fans on their feet during two sold-out concerts this weekend at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The shows were a part of Luke's "Dirt Road Diaries Tour," which has sold-out all concerts in advance, including a five minute sell-out for both Nashville shows. Support acts this weekend included Florida Georgia Line and Thompson Square on Friday and Cole Swindell and Dierks Bentley tonight.
Yet again, Luke Bryan’s
‘That’s My Kind of Night’ dominates both Hot Country Songs and Country Digital
Songs. It’s also moved up to #3 on Country Airplay, and I can imagine will top
that chart too next week. ‘Crash My Party’ has dropped to #2 on Top Country
Albums, knocked from #1 by Cassadee Pope’s
country debut ‘Frame By Frame’, which has pushed the lead single ‘Wasting All
These Tears’ to #10 on Hot Country Songs, #4 on Country Digital Songs and #24
on Country Airplay.
Thomas Rhett’s ‘It
Goes Like This’ has hit #1 on radio, holding onto #2 on Hot Country Songs and
#3 on Country Digital Songs, leading up to the release of his equally-titled
debut album on October 29. Jason Aldean’s
‘Night Train’ has moved back up to #3 on Hot Country Songs, although it drops
to #6 on Country Digital Songs and #4 on Country Airplay. His album has fallen
off the Top Country Albums top 10, down to #12. Meanwhile, Blake Shelton’s ‘Mine Would Be You’ remains a steady contender, #5
on Country Digital Songs, #4 on Hot Country Songs (its current peak) and #6 on
Country Airplay, topped by Tim McGraw’s
‘Southern Girl’ at #5, #9 on Hot Country Songs and #18 on Country Digital
Songs. Blake’s ‘Based On A True Story…’ drops to #10 on Top Country Albums, and
will likely fall out of the top 10 next week, the first time since its release
The Valory Music Co.’s Thomas Rhett scored his first-ever
#1 single as an artist today with the GOLD-certified “It Goes Like This” (iTunes/Amazon) topping
the Billboard Country Chart. The track continues to be one of the
top-selling songs on the iTunes Country Singles chart with nearly 1 million
downloads to date and is the title track to his debut album, which is slated for
"I am so humbled and honored to have a #1 at country
radio with this song. The response from fans and radio has been overwhelming,"
said Thomas Rhett. "This is just one of those very special songs the moment I
heard it I knew it would be a gamechanger. It has been incredible to hear
people singing the words back to me from the audience every
Of course, Luke Bryan
sits atop the charts yet again this week with ‘That’s My Kind of Night’, and
his album ‘Crash My Party’. The only chart he hasn’t yet conquered is Country
Airplay, which unfortunately has equally been besmirched by Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Round Here’,
now at #1. The former is up to #8 on the radio chart, however, and will
inevitably get to #1 very soon. In addition ‘Crash My Party’ the single is
still riding high at #8 on Country Digital Songs and #11 on Hot Country Songs.
In regards the latter, Florida
Georgia Line’s ‘Round Here’ seems to not yet be at the peak of its success.
It’s at #5 on Country Digital Songs and #3 on Hot Country Songs, while
naturally ‘Cruise’ tops it holding onto #2 on both charts. ‘Here’s To The Good
Times’ also looks unmoveable at #3 on Top Country Albums. Then we have Jason Aldean’s ‘Night Train’; #4 across
Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay, and #6 on Country Digital Songs, with
the album of the same name up to #7 this week. Jason could have reached his
peak with this one but there could be a couple more higher positions in it.
Florida Georgia Line and Sheryl Crow were up bright and early this morning on Good Morning America to announce the 2013 CMA Nominees.
The 47th annual Country Music Association Awards will air live on ABC, Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. ET. The show will once again be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
Here's the full list of nominees (I had a partial list up earlier):
Entertainer of the Year:
- Jason Aldean
- Luke Bryan
- Blake Shelton
- George Strait
- Taylor Swift
Looks like we another long-staying chart topper in Luke Bryan’s ‘That’s My Kind of Night’.
True, it may only be his 3rd week at #1 on Hot Country Songs and
Country Digital Songs, but who really sees this polarizing track slowing down?
It has, after all, moved up five places this week to #10 on Country Airplay,
and is accompanied by his fourth studio album, ‘Crash My Party’, also at #1.
The reigning ACM Entertainer of The Year is having a year unrivalled (don’t
forget all those ACA awards last December too) and I can’t see ‘That’s My Kind
of Night’ falling from the top spot for a good several more weeks. If that
weren’t enough, his previous hit ‘Crash My Party’ is still at #9 on Hot Country
Songs and #7 on Country Digital Songs, and
his 2011 release ‘Tailgates & Tanlines’ is still at #5 on Top Country
PLATINUM-certified debut album HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES (Republic
Nashville) during TODAY’s TOYOTA SUMMER CONCERT
SERIES, airing next Monday (9/2) on NBC beginning at 7:00A in all
time zones. Comprised of Tyler Hubbard (Monroe, Georgia) and Brian Kelley
(Ormond Beach, Florida), the hot duo’s high-energy set will include their
GOLD-certified, Top 5 hit “Round Here” and a collaboration with Nelly on the 5X
PLATINUM “Cruise” Remix, which has sold over 5.5 million downloads. Breaking the
record for longest #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart, “Cruise”
is the third-best-selling Country digital song ever, according to
Here's a happy little video to get people bitching this morning. :0) Florida Georgia Line performed their smash hit Cruise along with rapper Nelly at last night's Teen Choice…
