This week Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert’s smash hit ‘We Were Us’ has hit #1 on country radio, and retains the top spot on Hot Country Songs for another week. In addition, it holds onto #2 on Country Digital Songs. Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Stay’ beat them out on this chart and took #1 with ‘Stay’, bubbling just under the surface at #2 on Hot Country Songs and #9 on Country Airplay, with ‘Here’s To The Good Times’ sticking to #3 on Top Country Albums. In addition ‘Cruise’ has returned to #9 on Country Digital Songs, and ‘Round Here’ is at #18 on the same chart. Blake Shelton’s ‘Mine Would Be You’ remains a good seller, charting at #3 across Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay, although falling a little to #8 on Country Digital Songs. ‘Based On A True Story…’ has returned to #4 on Top Country Albums too.
This week Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert’s ‘We Were Us’ stays atop Hot Country Songs, rising to #2 on Country Airplay and on Country Digital Songs. Luke Bryan’s ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ is not far behind, however, at #3 on Country Digital Songs and #2 on Hot Country Songs, while ‘Crash My Party’ sticks at #2 on Top Country Albums. His new single, ‘Drink A Beer’, has climbed 14 places to reach #20 on Country Airplay, while it falls to #9 on Country Digital Songs and to #22 on Hot Country Songs. Blake Shelton’s ‘Mine Would Be You’ is also up at the top, holding radio #1 for another week, while it’s at #5 on Country Digital Songs and #3 on Hot Country Songs, and ‘Based On A True Story…’ falls to #5 on Top Country Albums.
Just like the broken record of Florida Georgia Line that was, Luke
Bryan’s ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ is becoming a mainstay of the country
charts. At #1 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs once more, it
moves up to #2 on Country Airplay this week, surely set to take the top spot
next week. In addition, his album ‘Crash My Party’ has fallen to #3. Meanwhile,
Thomas Rhett’s ‘It Goes Like This’
takes the radio #1, while it sits at #2 on Hot Country Songs and Country
Digital Songs, in advance of the release of his debut album next week. Blake Shelton’s ‘Mine Would Be You’
moves up to #3 on Hot Country Songs and #4 across Country Airplay and Country
Digital Songs, but ‘Based On A True Story…’ falls to #11 on Top Country Albums,
the first time it’s been out of the top 10 since its release in March.
Looks like we another long-staying chart topper in Luke Bryan’s ‘That’s My Kind of Night’.
True, it may only be his 3rd week at #1 on Hot Country Songs and
Country Digital Songs, but who really sees this polarizing track slowing down?
It has, after all, moved up five places this week to #10 on Country Airplay,
and is accompanied by his fourth studio album, ‘Crash My Party’, also at #1.
The reigning ACM Entertainer of The Year is having a year unrivalled (don’t
forget all those ACA awards last December too) and I can’t see ‘That’s My Kind
of Night’ falling from the top spot for a good several more weeks. If that
weren’t enough, his previous hit ‘Crash My Party’ is still at #9 on Hot Country
Songs and #7 on Country Digital Songs, and
his 2011 release ‘Tailgates & Tanlines’ is still at #5 on Top Country
Albums. Jeez.
Once again, Luke Bryan is at the top of 3 of our charts this
week. ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ remains at #1 on Hot Country Songs and Country
Digital Songs, while it moves up to #15 on Country Airplay. ‘Crash My Party’ is
at #1 on Top Country Albums again after selling 159,000 this week alone. The
single is also still doing well, though it dropped 6 places to #9 on Hot
Country Songs, but re-entered Country Digital Songs to place at #5. Other
tracks of Luke’s from the new record have dropped off the top end of Billboard’s
charts, but ‘Tailgates & Tanlines’, Luke’s last record from 2011, only
falls to #5 on Top Country Albums, while his EP from earlier this year falls 9
positions to #18.
