    Outlander: Blood of My Blood is all set to release in the summer of 2025. However, it should be noted that no set date has been announced yet.

    The series revolves around the romantic histories of Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp’s parents. The 18th-century backdrop supports the love story of Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser.

    The World War I setting supports that of Claire Beauchamp’s parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp. The story is also navigated by personal sacrifices of the war era.

    Main Cast

    Outlander: Blood of My Blood includes a talented ensemble cast that beautifully brings to life the characters from the early 18th century. Harriet Slater portrays Ellen MacKenzie as Jamie Fraser’s mother.

    We’ll also see Jamie Roy as Brian Fraser while Hermione Corfield plays Julia Moriston. This cast is all set to bring depth and authenticity to the prequel.

    Conor MacNeill takes on the role of Ned Gowan, a legal advisor in the Outlander series. MacNeill’s previous work includes appearances in The Tourist and The Fall.

    The prequel, in line with the storyline, features younger versions of familiar characters from the original series. It includes Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, portrayed by Rory Alexander.

    Dougal and Colum MacKenzie are also going to be in the new series. Sam Retford will play Dougal MacKenzie, who was first played by Graham McTavish, and Seamus McLean Ross will play Colum, originally played by Bill Paterson.

    The series was filmed in various locations across Scotland and Ireland. In Scotland, the filming took place in several notable locations like Glasgow, Doune Castle, Eglinton Park, and Kilwinning.

    Even though not many scenes are filmed in Ireland, the country’s historical sites have been utilized in past productions. These picturesque locations have added a rich tapestry of settings to the series.
