Lainey Wilson’s “Cool Again Tour” included the singer performing across North America. Her schedule included pitstops like Nashville, Camden, Saratoga, Bridgeport, New York, and many others.

One pit stop in her North American tour was Raleigh, N.C., on Friday night (Oct 18). The crowd was full of fans from all age groups, young and old.

Little Girl Spotted

Among the hustle and bustle of the crowd, Lainey Wilson spotted a little girl, and she immediately stood out to the singer. The girl was holding a sign with something quirky written on it.

And she was wearing a cowboy hat. However, these details were not the only ones that made her stand out.

Things in Common

The moment Lainey’s eyes fell on the little girl, it was apparent that she had a few things in common with the singer. For starters, the sign that she was holding had “Lainey, my daddy bet me a horse trailer if I get onstage” written on top of it.

The girl was also rocking a black cowboy that was similar to Lainey’s during the show. Lainey’s love for horses is evident in both her songs and her role in Yellowstone, so she had to help the little girl get a horse.

Lainey’s Invitation

The little girl, Savanah, was called up on the stage by Lainey. The “Watermelon Moonshine” singer jokingly said, “Looks like you’re getting a horse trailer. Sorry, daddy.”

Savanah’s excitement was through the roof as she stood side-by-side with her “favorite singer.” From there on, things only got much cuter.

Savanahs’ Praise

The little girl Savanah, in a moment of pure fangirling, went on to tell Lainey how she’s her all-time favorite singer alive and that “Heart Like a Truck” is her favorite song. Savanah in her excitement went on to say, “My daddy is a farmer, he do hard work for me and he raised me up as a farmer and I love him.”

This further emphasized the fact that Savanah and Lainey had a lot in common. The little girl’s adoration for her dad and the singer herself made everyone love the girl more.

Best Friend Title

In a matter of seconds, Lainey and Savanah’s status changed to “Best Friends.” Wilson told the crowd, “Y’all, I think I just met my best friend.”

Savanah’s spunky and adorable personality made the crowd let out “awws” and “oohs.” They could not get enough of the newly found friendship between the singer and the little fan.

Exchange of Phone Numbers

In a moment of utmost excitement, Savanah read aloud her number to Lainey. “We ain’t gonna say it into the microphone, but we’re gonna get your phone number right here,” said the singer.

She took the little girl over to the side so she could write it down. The crowd filled up with laughter over this cute act.

A Go-Getter

Lainey Wilson was impressed by the confidence of the little girl. Wilson said to the crowd, “She knows what she wants. I’m gonna tell ya right now, this girl right here is gonna be successful.”

“I’m not even playing. She is a go-getter”. Hearing this compliment, Savanah started to blush.

A Series of Affirmations

Once the numbers were noted down, Lainey followed the old routine of saying out-aloud affirmations with Savanah. The affirmations revolved around Lainey, reminding Savanah and the other girls in the crowd of how special they were.

After saying the mantras out loud, Savanah got ready to leave the stage. However, Lainey was reluctant to let go of her newly-found best friend just yet.

Musical Performance

Lainey said to Savanah, “I just wanna finish the show with her. Can we be a duo?” asking the little fan to sing with her. The duo then went on to perform a snippet of “Atta Girl.”

“Atta Girl” is one of the songs of Lainey’s Bell Bottom Country album. The girls then continued singing, moving on to singing Savanah’s favorite song, “Heart Like a Truck.”

Lainey Wilson uploaded a snippet of this interaction with her little fan on Instagram, with a caption that said, “Y’all meet my new best friend Savanah.” Thousands of fans liked the post, with several commenting on it.

One went on to say, “Crying like a baby. She will remember this moment for the entire rest of her life”. Another commented, “I know this sweet little girl and she loves Lainey so much. Thank you for this amazing memory.”

Cowgirl of the Night Tradition

Lainey Wilson, when on tour, follows the tradition of “Cowgirl of the Night”. During each show, she tries her best to select a young girl from the audience to join her on stage.

The singer then introduces the girl to the crowd and makes conversation with her. She also goes on to say affirmative phrases like, “I am beautiful. I am smart. I am talented”, to boost their confidence.

Cancer Survivor Moment

In August 2024, the singer was performing at Walmart Amphitheater in Rogers, Ark. During the show, she saw a young girl holding a handmade “to-do-list” in her hand.

Wilson then began reading the to-do list out loud: “Her to-do list is, Beat cancer, she did it! Beat cancer again, she did it.”

“Meet Lainey Wilson, she did it. And sing with Lainey … she’s about to do it, y’all.” She then called the girl on stage and sang “Kerosene” by Miranda Lambert.

The Next Dolly Parton

Lainey Wilson has won the hearts of everyone with her “Cowgirl of the Night” tradition with several people saying that she’s going to be the next Dolly Parton. And honestly, we get it.
