Laine Hardy, who won the hearts of many during his time on American Idol, recently got down on one knee to propose to Jordan Gautreau, his now-fiancée and soon-to-be mother of their child.
On September 7, Gautreau took to Instagram to share the big news with her followers.
Her post was a joyful blend of excitement and a playful nod to Taylor Swift’s famous lyric, “The secret is out…. I’m having his babyyyy,” quoting from the song “But Daddy I Love Him.”
The Instagram post included a beautiful video capturing the emotional moment when Hardy proposed.
The country singer chose an intimate, rustic setting, popping the question outdoors on a serene farm.
Hardy held a bouquet of white wildflowers as he knelt on one knee, clearly marking a special moment in their love story.
“We are so excited for this chapter of our lives. Looking forward to God’s plan for us. The biggest surprise and the easiest YES!” Gautreau gushed in her caption.
She also hinted at future plans, saying, “Can’t wait for our new title as parents and to plan a wedding.”
With that, the hashtag #partywiththehardys was born, hinting at the celebration and joy surrounding their upcoming wedding and baby.
Gautreau, an NFL cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints, also shared that their baby is due in 2025.
While details of their relationship timeline remain private, the couple seems ready to embrace their future roles as parents and life partners.
Although they’ve kept the origins of their relationship relatively low-key, this new chapter has clearly brought immense joy to both Hardy and Gautreau.
Fans are eagerly awaiting more glimpses into their journey as they prepare for the arrival of their little one.
Hardy’s life has been a whirlwind since winning season 17 of American Idol in 2019. During the competition, he faced off against talented singers Alejandro Aranda and Madison VanDenburg.
The finale had audiences and judges alike on the edge of their seats. Katy Perry, one of the show’s judges, recalled how unpredictable the outcome was, saying, “There was a curveball, I thought… It threw us through a loop.”
Fellow judge Lionel Richie also reflected on the moment, emphasizing how any of the final contestants could have won.
After his victory, Hardy received a recording deal with Disney’s Hollywood Records and a cash prize, propelling him into the country music scene.
Despite parting ways with Hollywood Records, Hardy has continued to evolve as an artist, releasing music and performing across the globe.
In October 2022, he shared on Instagram about his journey since his American Idol days, stating, “I was just 17 years old when I first tried out for American Idol, and at the time, I couldn’t have ever imagined where I was headed.”
Laine reflected on the experiences that have shaped him since then, including performing for troops in Asia and gaining new fans in Europe.
He acknowledged that his journey has been one of personal growth and discovery, adding, “I had to grow up quickly and I am still learning more about myself every day.”
As Hardy and Gautreau look ahead to their life together, it seems the singer is also gearing up to take his career in a new direction.
He has expressed excitement about exploring fresh opportunities, and with a wedding and baby on the horizon, his personal life is blossoming alongside his professional endeavors.
From a small-town boy with dreams of country stardom to an American Idol champion, Hardy’s story has taken him to new heights.
And now, with a fiancée and baby on the way, it looks like his next chapter is set to be the most exciting one yet.
Fans will undoubtedly be following along as the couple prepares to start their family and celebrate their love in the months to come.
