On August 13, 2024, Creed’s ongoing Summer of ’99 Tour made a stop in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fans at the concert were treated to an unexpected and thrilling surprise when country rock star Hardy made a special guest appearance.

The moment became even more memorable when Hardy joined Creed on stage to sing “Weathered,” a track from Creed’s 2001 album of the same name.

    Scott Stapp Teases the Crowd

Before the surprise was revealed, Creed’s lead singer, Scott Stapp, teased the crowd with a playful introduction.

He hinted at something special, telling the audience, “It wouldn’t be a Nashville show unless we had some surprises, right?”

Stapp then shared a light-hearted story about how he and Hardy became friends after chatting through social media.

He humorously added, “It sounds funny — me and this next artist slipped into each other’s DMs and we started talking and we became kinda friends. I said hey man, when you’re in town, wanna jam? He said, ‘Man, I would love to.’

With that, Stapp welcomed Hardy to the stage, and the crowd erupted with excitement.

All About Creed: The Rock Band

Creed is an American rock band that gained massive popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Formed in 1994 in Tallahassee, Florida, the band originally consisted of lead vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips.

They quickly became known for their post-grunge sound, which blends heavy guitar riffs with introspective and spiritual lyrics.

Creed’s debut album, My Own Prison, was released in 1997 and was a huge success, selling over six million copies in the U.S. alone.

The album featured hit singles like “Torn,” “My Own Prison,” “What’s This Life For,” and “One,” all of which reached the top of the rock charts.

The success of this album set the stage for Creed to become one of the most popular rock bands of their time.

Their second album, Human Clay (1999), propelled them to even greater heights.

It included some of their biggest hits, such as “Higher,” “With Arms Wide Open,” and “What If.”

With Arms Wide Open” won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song, solidifying Creed’s place in rock music history.

In 2001, Creed released their third album, Weathered, which continued their streak of success.

The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and included hits like “My Sacrifice” and “One Last Breath.”

Despite their commercial success, tensions within the band led to their breakup in 2004.

During their time apart, Mark Tremonti formed the band Alter Bridge with Scott Phillips, while Scott Stapp pursued a solo career.

However, in 2009, Creed reunited and released a new album, Full Circle, followed by a tour. Unfortunately, they parted ways again in 2012.

In July 2023, Creed thrilled fans by announcing that they had reunited once more.

They revealed that they would be headlining the Summer of ’99 cruise in April 2024, marking a fresh chapter for the band.

Creed’s music is often characterized by themes of personal struggle, redemption, and faith.

Their sound, a mix of grunge, post-grunge, and hard rock, is loved by millions of fans around the world.

Despite the ups and downs in their career, Creed’s impact on the rock music scene is undeniable.

Creed’s Exciting Return: The Summer of ’99 Tour

Creed is back in action with their Summer of ’99 Tour, their first big tour in 12 years.

After a successful run of sold-out shows on the Summer of ’99 cruise in April, the band’s original lineup—Scott Stapp (lead singer), Mark Tremonti (guitar), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums)—is hitting the road again.

The tour kicked off in July 2024, and they’re also set to headline the Summer Of ’99 And Beyond Festival in San Bernardino, California, followed by their North American Are You Ready? Tour starting in November.

Scott Stapp shared his excitement, saying, “I’m singing better than ever and can’t wait to be back on stage with the guys. The fans have been waiting for this, and I’m ready to give them an amazing show.”
