    Remembering the Legacy of Allyce Ozarski

    A talented and influential figure in the entertainment world, Allyce Ozarski, is no longer with us. As a producer, she undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the television industry.

    She was well-known for her work on groundbreaking series and had a unique ability to bring stories to life. The icon’s life was full of remarkable achievements and contributions.

    Early Life

    Born and raised in Poway, California, Allyce Ozarski grew up in a supportive community. During this time, she developed a passion for storytelling and the arts.

    Allyce pursued higher education at the University of Washington in Seattle. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, which set a solid foundation for her future in television production.

    Entry into Entertainment

    After completing her college education, Allyce Ozarski moved to Los Angeles. She relocated to pursue her ambitions in the entertainment industry.

    To support herself early in her career, Allyce initially sold rugs. During this time, she coincidentally encountered a television director, and this meeting ended up becoming a pivotal moment in her life.

    Early Career

    Allyce took on the role of travel coordinator for the television series Beyond the Break in 2007. The drama series was based on four women navigating the professional surfing circuit in Hawaii.

    Allyce’s role involved managing logistics for the cast and crew. She also had to ensure timely arrivals and departures, and coordinate accommodations.

    Production Coordination

    Allyce’s career included a major part of her doing production coordination work. From 2008 to 2009, she worked as an assistant production coordinator in Lincoln Heights.

    She took on a similar role for the NBC comedy series Up All Night which aired from 2011 to 2012. In 2014, Allyce continued to showcase her production expertise as the production coordinator for A to Z.

    Producing Problematic with Moshe Kasher

    Allyce worked tirelessly to expand her production portfolio. In 2017, she worked on Problematic with Moshe Kasher.

    Problematic with Moshe Kasher was a late-night talk show that aired on Comedy Central. Even though the show was short-lived, it stood out for its bold approach to tackling complex and rarely talked about subjects.

    Work on “Baskets”

    Allyce Ozarski in 2016 contributed to the FX series Baskets. She worked on the set as a production supervisor.

    The show follows the life of Chip Baskets, a man who’s pursuing his dream of becoming a professional clown in Bakersfield, California. Allyce’s role involved supervising daily operations, coordinating between departments, and so much more.

    Emmy Nomination

    Her hard work finally paid off when she earned her first Emmy nomination in 2018. She received this milestone for her work as a producer on I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman.

    The show aired on Hulu and was recognized in the category of Oustanding Variety Sketch Series. Allyce’s role as a producer was instrumental in the show’s success.

    Collaboration with Showtime

    Allyce continued with her collaboration with Showtime. She took on production roles in notable series such as SMILF and The L Word: Generation Q in 2019.

    Both of these series portrayed authentic and complex issues including topics on motherhood and personal identity. Allyce’s contribution was once again a driving factor in the success of these series.

    Producing Super Pumped

    Allyce was the executive producer for the Showtime anthology series Super Pumped, specifically its first installment titled The Battle for Uber. The series is based on Mike Isaac’s 2019 nonfiction book, Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber.

    The show premiered in February 2022 and received quite the attention for its dynamic storytelling and in-depth look at the complexities of Silicon Valley. Allyce of course played a pivotal role in bringing such a compelling narrative to the screen.

    I Love That for You

    In 2022, Allyce served as an executive producer for the comedy series I Love That for You. The show follows Joanna Gold (Bayer) who’s a leukemia survivor and is pursuing her dream of becoming a home shopping channel host.

    The series received positive reviews for its humor and heartfelt storytelling. However, it didn’t return for a second season.

    Upcoming Netflix Project

    In 2024 Allyce worked as an executive producer for the upcoming comedy series, Golf. The series is co-created by Will Ferrell, Ramy Youssef, and Josh Josh Rabinowitz.

    The series is set to revolve around the world of professional golf, focusing on a fictional golfer who becomes the face of a controversial new league. The series is still under development with no release date in sight.

    Personal Life

    Allyce Ozarski was married to Jonathan Haug, who’s a producer and director. The couple shared a daughter named Harley.

    He is known for Expedition X, Rebel Without a Crew: The Series, and Penn & Teller Tell a Lie. Allyce is also survived by her parents Robert and Idelma Ozarsk and brothers Adam Ozarski and Marc Ozarski.

    Battle with Cancer

    Unfortunately, Allyce Ozarski was diagnosed with triple-negative metastatic breast cancer. This type of cancer which is particularly aggressive is known for rapid progression and has a higher likelihood of recurrence.

    This type of cancer is known for early relapses and low survival rates, making it a major clinical challenge. Allyce died because of this fatal disease.

    Passing

    Allyce Ozarski tragically passed away on January 24, 2025, in Los Angeles at the age of 41. Her death has left a profound impact on her friends, family, and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

    Her passing comes in the same year that has also seen the passing of another influential filmmaker David Lynch who died at 78.

    Legacy

    Allyce Ozarski’s legacy is marked by her numerous contributions to the television industry. Throughout her career, Allyce showed unwavering dedication to storytelling.
