The incident occurred on Thursday, February 13, while Felder was performing on the cruise ship.
He was in the middle of playing the Eagles’ 1973 song “Tequila Sunrise” when he suddenly appeared unsteady on his feet.
Fans noticed that as he approached the microphone, he looked off-balance, and moments later, medical personnel rushed to assist him.
Videos taken by fans in the audience captured the tense moment.
Felder was able to walk offstage with help, but he was immediately taken to the ship’s medical facility for evaluation.
The unexpected medical episode left fans concerned and anxious about his well-being, with many taking to social media to send their support and well wishes.

Fortunately, just a few days later, Felder personally addressed his fans through a video update on Facebook, posted on Tuesday, February 18.
He appeared to be in good spirits and reassured everyone that he was feeling much better.
“I just wanted to tell you all I am back 100 percent,” Felder said with a smile in the video. “I had a wonderful time down in the little medical facility getting an IV last night, and I feel fantastic. So I appreciate all your concern, but I am back and ready to rock.”
His upbeat attitude and quick recovery were a huge relief to fans, who flooded the comments with messages of encouragement.
Many were grateful that the incident was not more serious and that Felder was able to bounce back so quickly.
According to Felder’s representatives, the medical scare was attributed to dehydration.
Dehydration is a common issue for performers, particularly when playing under hot stage lights, traveling frequently, and not getting enough fluids.
After experiencing symptoms, Felder was treated with an IV drip to replenish his fluids.
As per cruise ship policy, he was kept in quarantine for 24 hours to ensure he was stable before being cleared to return.
Dehydration may seem minor, but in severe cases, it can lead to dizziness, fatigue, confusion, and even more serious health risks.
It’s a reminder of how physically demanding touring and performing can be, especially for veteran musicians like Felder, who still actively tour and perform at the age of 76.
For those who may not know, Don Felder played an instrumental role in shaping the Eagles’ sound during their peak years.
He joined the band in 1974 as their lead guitarist and was a crucial part of their biggest successes, including the 1976 album “Hotel California.”
Felder is best known for co-writing the iconic title track, “Hotel California,” alongside Don Henley and Glenn Frey.
The song went on to become one of the most celebrated rock anthems of all time, featuring Felder’s signature twin-guitar intro and legendary solo.
In 1998, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside the Eagles, cementing his legacy as one of the most influential rock guitarists of his generation.
However, his time with the band ended in controversy. In 2001, Felder was fired from the Eagles, leading to a bitter legal dispute.
He later sued the band, alleging wrongful termination and seeking $50 million in damages.
The case was eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed amount, but the rift between Felder and his former bandmates remained.
Despite this, Felder has continued to enjoy a successful solo career, touring the world and releasing multiple solo albums, including “Road to Forever” in 2012 and “American Rock ‘n’ Roll” in 2019.
While Felder is no longer part of the Eagles, the band continues to perform with a new lineup. Currently, the Eagles’ lineup includes:
Right now, the Eagles are headlining a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, where they continue to perform their classic hits to sold-out crowds.
Felder, meanwhile, remains a respected solo artist, frequently touring and performing at rock festivals, cruises, and special events.
After this brief health scare, Felder seems eager to get back on stage and continue doing what he loves.
Given his resilience, it’s safe to say he won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
His Facebook update was a huge relief for fans who were worried about his health, and it’s clear that Felder remains grateful for their support.
At 76 years old, Felder continues to prove that rock and roll is in his blood.
His passion for music and performing is as strong as ever, and fans can expect to see him back onstage soon, delivering the iconic guitar riffs they know and love.
For now, all that matters is that Don Felder is healthy, happy, and ready to rock once again!
