What is surprising is that the The Oak Ridge Boys, renowned for their great live shows, have never released a full length, official hits concert album - that is, until now!
Grammy Award-winning music legends The Oak Ridge Boys are set to celebrate the 24th Anniversary of their annual Christmas Tour in 2013 with a festive show featuring live performances of holiday classics and their biggest hits. Additionally, while Richard Sterban, Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, and Joe Bonsall are celebrating their 40th Anniversary of The Oak Ridge Boys, they have teamed with Compassion International as the official sponsor of the “Christmas Time’s a Comin’” Tour.
“Over the course of our career we have worked with many children's relief organizations, but never have we seen a more positive response from our fans than we are seeing with Compassion International,” says Oak Ridge Boy Joe Bonsall. “I believe that folks are moved by Compassion International’s Christ-centered approach to feeding and educating needy kids around the world—and their amazing success rate, which is impressive! When folks sign up to help a hungry child there is a huge chance that THAT child will rise out of poverty and make a difference in the world. This is why we are excited and blessed to be working with this stellar organization.”
The Craven Country Jamboree began yesterday in Regina, SK, Canada, and unfortunately had to make a last-minute replacement. Randy Travis was scheduled to appear at the festival, but due to his life-threatening medical issues right now the festival had to scramble to find someone to take his place. Luckily for fans, they were able to find a legendary group to replace the legendary singer.
