It always gives me a strange feeling when I get a statement regarding a tragedy before I've heard anything about the tragedy that prompted the statement.
It happened just now. I have a cold and have been taking it easy this morning. Now I'm sitting here and I received a statement in my email inbox regarding a tragedy in the Cash (as in Johnny) family. Well here's a bit of interesting and exciting news – 10 years after his death, a new album of never-before-heard music from Johnny Cash is set to be released.
According to the AP, back in the early '80s, Johnny recorded an album that for various reasons was shelved without ever being released. Not long afterwards, Cash was dropped by Columbia Records.
Luckily, Johnny and his wife, June Carter Cash, stashed the tapes and now fans will be able to hear the 30-plus-year-old recordings for the first time ever.
