After more than three decades together, iconic rock ‘n roll band MÖTLEY CRÜE announced today their Final Tour and the band’s ultimate retirement. The announcement was solidified when the band signed a formal Cessation Of Touring Agreement, effective at the end of 2015, in front of global media in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
In conjunction with the tour, Big Machine Records, home to country superstars such as Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts has teamed up in a joint venture with MÖTLEY RECORDS and ELEVEN SEVEN MUSIC for the summer 2014 release of a Country Music Tribute To MÖTLEY CRÜE. Big Machine Label Group president and CEO, Scott Borchetta, is among the legion of Country Music fans who love MÖTLEY CRÜE. The country tribute album will show off the band’s quality songwriting with these fresh takes on their classic hit songs. Among the artists already confirmed to be featured on the country tribute album are LeAnn Rimes, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, Eli Young Band and Cassadee Pope. More artists will be unveiled as the album nears a release date this summer. Borchetta says of the collaboration, "I have been a not-so-secret Crue fan from the beginning. When manager Chris Nilsson called with the idea for a tribute album on Big Machine Records it was an immediate 'yes' from me! Our album will highlight just how great the Motley Crue song catalog is. At the end of the day, that's what will stand the test of time."
The ACM Awards nominations are only a few days away (Wednesday, January 29), and I thought it would be a great time to break out my crystal ball and take a stab at predicting the future. Considering Kacey Musgraves has become the industry's new "it" girl, I predict she'll get the most nods.
Coming off the Best New Artist win at the 2013 CMA Awards and two accolades at last night's (Jan. 26) Grammys — she took home Best Country Song (for "Merry Go 'Round") and Best Country Album (for "Same Trailer Different Park") — she is seen as the new shiny female, and rightfully so. Her music is thoughtful, commericially viable without compromising artistic integrity.
Also, I'm sure Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw will get plenty of love.

Official Jason Aldean website Well, that's the rumor on the street. According to a review from the Examiner, Tyler Farr had a hard time amping the crowd. Of course to be…
Well here's a bit of completely surprising (just shocking I'm telling you) news – Jason Aldean has teamed up with the MLB for his 2014 Burn It Down Tour.
Jason told "Good Morning America" this morning that he's planning about 50 tour stops and the tour will include Tyler Farr and Florida Georgia Line as openers.
Yeah, kind of like the "inaccurate" info I had yesterday.
You can watch Jason's announcement that he made on "Good Morning America" this morning here. In the meantime, check out Jason performing When She Says Baby below.
I will update this post once all the info such as tour dates, etc. is announced.
Update: Full press release after the jump…
Update: Jason's PR firm contacted me and said some of this info is bogus and asked that I remove the story. I won't remove it, but I will warn you that some of it may be innacurate. Pretty sure what the PR firm contacting me means is that someone's getting ready to get a nice tongue lashing for releasing the info early. Oops.
Update 2: Jason's made the tour official.
Jason Aldean has been teasing fans all week with odd clues and said that he would be making a huge announcement on Thursday.
Now, however, the announcement has been made a day early from an unexpected source … Jason's own mobile app. It's not clear if the early announcement was an oops or just a way to show appreciation for fans who have downloaded the app.
At any rate, The Music Universe says that the big announcement fans have been waiting for is Jason's “2014 Burn It Down Tour” which will feature Florida Georgia Line, Tyler Farr, and a few dates with Miranda Lambert.
Still not sure what Screech has to do with the tour. Anyone have any idea?

Well, well, well, look who went and turned a boring ol' Monday into a day of celebration.
While the rest of us were just trying to slog through our mundane Monday, Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley went and got married to his secret (not so secret) girlfriend, Brittney Marie Cole, a 23-year-old college student.
The happy couple said their I do's in front of 40 of their closest family and friends at Kelley's newly acquired 32-acre Nashville property. And they did it outdoors, which in December is kind of crazy, but when you're in love you do things like that. Beautiful, untraditional, romantic wedding first, worry about frostbite second.

Florida Georgia Line will debut the brand new music video for the passion-fueled "Stay" across multiple media platforms this week. CMT will air the 48-hour exclusive broadcast premiere today (10/7) on the network as well as on its all-music channel, CMT Pure. The first look online and on apps is slated for Wednesday (10/9) across VEVO, the world's leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform.
Known for their hit party anthems and high-energy live show, FGL's Brian Kelley (Ormond Beach, Florida) and Tyler Hubbard (Monroe, Georgia) showcase a much different side in their latest offering. Shot outside of Nashville, the video for "Stay" features vivid imagery of a couple whose fiery emotions reach a boiling point, causing each to struggle with their next move in the relationship. Director Peter Zavadil reinforces the raw scenes with flashes of FGL performing the powerful song.
