Lumberjack Feud

Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud is a show you do not want to miss. You get to see a real lumberjack feud between two families that dates back to the days before the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was established. The logging industry was king over the area, and the two family names that were synonymous to the logging business: the Dawson’s and the McGraw’s are the highlight of the competition.

There are 13 competitive lumberjack events where world-class lumberjacks representing both families participate in thrilling and fast-paced activities. These targets test their skills and the range of their prowess from ax chopping to log rolling and tree climbing. All of this is done inside the 350-seat, climate-controlled amphitheater where the event is hosted. Audience participation is also possible by joining in cheering for your favorite family or getting to play some intermittent games and events such as cross-cutting with a lumberjack.

There is also an adventure park to add to the fun. You can get to live out all your lumberjack fantasies within the park by also competing in some of the activities the lumberjacks did. You can take the high woodsman challenge to test your lumberjack skills and compete in boom run and log roll events. There are also zip lining activities on the flying ox which is the world’s first Cable-to-Rail Zipline Coaster.
