But, do you really need one with the fastest internet connection or one which offers large storage space to accommodate all the mobile games you play? 

Many of these gadgets offer convenience but they also come at a price. You find yourself spending less time with your friends and family, and more time streaming videos or playing games. Use your gadgets only in times of need. Spend the rest of your time fostering strong and healthy relationships with your loved ones.   

   7.  Cut down the cable cord

Cable companies charge as much as $100 for subscription plans. Out of the hundreds of channels offered, you most likely only watch five to eight. Why waste money on something you’re not using? Cancel your subscription plan and pay only for the channels you watch. This is one of the simplest ways to cut your expenses and yet, something that most people don’t think of. 

8.  Simplify your meals

You don’t need to dine out every week and you don’t need to spend the whole day in the kitchen whipping up one meal. Come up with a meal plan for the week that requires no more than an hour in the kitchen. Throughout the week, rotate the recipes. Living a minimal life means not worrying about what to eat. It can take some getting used to but trust me, this benefits not only your wallet but your health as well.

Life is often unpredictable. Ensure that you’re well prepared for a rainy day by building an emergency fund. This way, you don’t have to worry if the economy dips, if you have to pay an unexpected hospital bill, or if you lose your job. Start saving now to alleviate any future stress and worry.
