A big congratulations going out to Carly Pearce and Michael Ray who finally got to say the big “I do” over the weekend.
The pair wed in an intimate ceremony on Sunday, October 6, at the beautiful Drakewood Farm outside of Nashville in front of 100 friends and family.
“Knowing without a shadow of a doubt that I didn’t settle for something less than truly the person that I think was made for me is something that I am thankful for,” Pearce told PEOPLE.
“No matter what, I have her in my corner,” added Ray. “No matter what, she has me in her corner. I tell her, you’re never going to face anything alone. Never will there be anything in life that you don’t look over and I’m standing beside you.”
Although the pair had planned for an outside wedding, the weather didn’t cooperate and they ended up getting married in one of Drakewood Farm’s two barns. But don’t feel too bad for the couple, with vintage charm and names like the Love Barn and the I Do Barn, I’m pretty sure the ceremony ended up being exceptionally magical and charming and all those things you want your wedding to be.
After the ceremony, Jake Owen serenaded the newly-minted Mr. and Mrs. Ray his own song, Made for You, for the couple’s first dance.
While the wildly in-love Michael and Carly did finally get to say, “I do,” their honeymoon is being put on the backburner until December when they both have time off from their busy schedules. Which will definitely make Christmas even more special for them this year.
Congratulations to the happy pair.
