Okay, serious question here, what the hell crawled up Kid Rock’s ass and messed with his senses?
For some unknown reason, rocker (and Hank Williams, Jr. sidekick) Kid Rock woke up on Friday and decided that the world wasn’t a crappy enough place already and that he should go ahead and launch a seemingly unprovoked attack at Taylor Swift over her political affiliation and desire to be an actress.
Odd, sure, but it wasn’t even the random attack that had people talking. It was actually the sexist way that he did it that really had tongues a waggin’, writing on Twitter: Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period. And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl. -Kid Rock
Umm, suck the door knob off Hollyweird? Really? Is that seriously the way a 48-year-old supposedly grown-ass man shows his displeasure at a fellow artist?
Weak.
Most people seem to think the attack comes because Taylor has recently started talking politics and talked about Hillary Clinton in her recent Vogue cover story. Apparently in this day and age that’s enough to set someone like Kid Rock, an open and proud Donald Trump supporter, off. Funny enough, Taylor had also talked about sexism in that same Vogue article where she talked about Hillary Clinton.
While Taylor hasn’t said anything about the attack, a couple of famous faces have come to her defense, including Sheryl Crow who asked KR to spread love, not hate.
But the best response came from model and wife of John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, who is never afraid to speak her mind.
Let’s just hope this whole nasty saga dies a quick and quiet death. Or at least that there’s some great cookie baking going on at the end.
