A group of veterans in West Virginia received a wonderful surprise on Saturday when Trace Adkins stopped by to say hi and even signed the birthday card of one vet who was celebrating his 106th birthday.

According to LocalDVM.com, Trace stopped into the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in West Virginia, chatting and taking pictures with patients, residents, staff, and family during the visit. Trace, who was in town for a show later that day, works with the Wounded Warrior Project and says that visiting veterans is one of his favorite things.

“The most rewarding thing I’ve done in my career has been stuff I’ve done with veterans organizations,” said Adkins. “I just love rubbing shoulders with heroes.”

During the visit, Trace took time to visit with and sign a birthday card for one particular veteran who was celebrating his 106th birthday.

Incredible.
