The ACM Female Vocalist of the Year is back with a gift for country music fans. Miranda Lambert, who is preparing to travel country on The Bandwagon Tour with Little Big Town, released her music video for current single, “Keeper of the Flame” today.
The video is filmed at a series of Lambert’s live shows and includes live footage from behind-the-scenes and on stage, as well as features audience members enjoying a night out at the superstar’s show.
In releasing the video, Lambert shared with fans that while she is happy to hold the musical torch right now, she is eager to pass it on to the next generation of female stars that strive to follow in her successful footsteps. In fact, if you listen closely to Lambert’s lyrics, you will notice that she recognizes the temporary home that is the big stage and is prepared to relinquish her throne to those who come next.
Lambert eloquently stated in a press release this morning:
I feel like I have a huge responsibility from all of the women that have come before me and blazed this trail that let me live my dream and write the songs I want to write. I hope that I’m making them proud while I get to hold this torch for a while, and I can’t wait to pass it along to these new singer-songwriters.
