Luke Bryan pretty sure he’s being punked by Blake Shelton’s Sexiest Man Alive honor

Blake Shelton Sexiest Man Alive 2017 cover

Well it’s official, Blake Shelton IS People magazine’s pick for Sexiest Man Alive this year, which seems to have left many people confused, especially Luke Bryan.

Backstage at Tuesday night’s taping of the CMA Country Christmas in Nashville, Luke Bryan was a little perplexed when told of Blake’s new sexy accolade, joking (quote via ABC News), “I’m speechless. He’s taken so many things from me, and now this. Who in the hell is choosing this? Am I being punked?”

It’s okay, Luke, even Blake seemed surprised by the news that People magazine had picked him for their annual sexy man cover. When asked what his first thought was after being told he’d been picked, Blake said, “That y’all must be running out of people. Like, Wow, we’re down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical.”

Awww, you’re so much more than symmetrical to us, Blakey Boy.

To read Blake’s full interview and to see more pics of the newest Sexiest Man Alive, check out this week’s People magazine, now on newsstands. And if you’re curious why the magazine picked Blake over all the other sexy men candidates out there, you can check out the latest People TV video here.

So what do you think? Did People get it right this year?
