Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are showing just how humble and kind they are this holiday season.

According to news out of Florida, McGraw sent his mother, Betty Trimble, to a nearby Walmart store to be the elf to his and Hill’s Santa and Mrs. Claus. Trimble, on behalf of McGraw and Hill, paid off $5,000 in layaway bills for unsuspecting customers, letting them know of the gift with simple cards reading “Merry Christmas, Tim McGraw + Faith Hill.”

‘Tis the season, and the McGraw/Hill family is certainly making sure fans remember the importance of giving to others from the heart.
