Kip Moore Reveals He Is Taking a Break From Music

Kip Moore

In a recent deep and revealing interview with Rare Country, Kip Moore revealed to the online publication that he is planning to take a break from his career.

Moore explained to Tricia Despres, Editor of Rare Country:

I don’t know what the word is, because I’m not just worn out… I’m something more than that. We have toured 175 or more shows for six years straight, which is kind of unheard of. We are all tired. I don’t think people see that side very often because they just see us onstage, but the grind of sleeping on a bus every night for 225 days or more takes a mental and physical tear on you. All I have done is music every day of my life, so this is going to be my first real break from it in probably 12 years.

According to Despres’ article, Moore time off will be a full departure from music, allowing him time to focus on his mental state before his next scheduled tour dates (mid-2017). Part of the break will include Moore figuring out how to strike a balance between a self-proclaimed selfish lifestyle and doing for others.

Moore further revealed to Rare Country that he would be “going straight to Maui,” and is “going to camp out the first 10 or so days in a little house I’m going to stay in and then do some surfing and backpacking before heading off to Costa Rica. I might not come back. I just need to breathe a bit.”

While we will miss Kip Moore, we wish him a fulfilling and enlightening break and can’t wait for his refreshed return. To read Tricia Depres’ full interview with Moore, click here.

‘American Idol’ hopes to lure Carrie Underwood to be a judge or whatever on the show

‘American Idol’ seems to be in some sort of free fall right now. Yesterday, the former reality show juggernaut failed to receive an Emmy nomination for Best Competition Reality Show, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have both quit or been fired depending on what report you read, and the ratings have been lacking lately from my understanding.

So what’s a seemingly struggling former monster hit reality singing competition to do?
