Fresh off the heels of receiving her first ever Grammy nomination (all-genre Best New Artist), No. 1 singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini was on hand to help CMA with another huge Nashville announcement this morning.
While standing inside Oliver Middle School’s band room, Ballerini shared that the CMA Foundation would be donating $1 million to benefit music education programs in Metro schools. During her time with the impressionable students, the twenty-three year-old role model also left them with words to live by.
Music does make us, it does. From the beginning of the day until the end of the day, it makes us and it all starts when you are young – in elementary school, in middle school and in high school – these are the times of your life that kind of defines who you are, what you are passionate about and discovering that for the first time. For me it was music.
