Jo Dee Messina Earns Her Wings on Southwest Airlines Flight

Southwest Airlines has been bringing passengers live music from the sky for some time now, helping it become known as the most fun airline in business. We have seen a handful of country music artists lend their talents to flights, performing at the front of planes for those lucky people who happen to be on the right flight at the right time. Now, country music legend Jo Dee Messina can be added to the short list of stars who has been invited by Southwest to participate in its Live At 35 program.

In flight to Chicago’s Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, where Messina also served as the talent for the Southwest-sponsored float in the parade, the nine-time No. 1 artist, ACM and CMA winner, and Grammy nominee performed her first ever hit, “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” as well as her current Christmas single, the angelic “Noel.” The passengers on the sold-out flight raised their phones to record the unique moments, cheered on the spectacular vocalist, and offered her kind words of gratitude and appreciation as they each deplaned upon landing.

Watch Southwest Airlines’ package from the day with Jo Dee Messina below and let them know how much you “LUV” what they do by tweeting them @SouthwestAir and using #LiveAt35!
