There are certain voices that are just made for Christmas music and Chris Young’s is one of them. This year, the golden-voiced singer released his first Christmas album, It Must Be Christmas, and it’s sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. It features a mix of high-profile collaborators (Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Boyz II Men) and a great assortment of Christmas classics and original new tunes.
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time,” Young revealed. “Christmas is one of my favorite times of year and it was hard to narrow down the list of songs for this record. I’m excited to share my own versions of many of the standards I sang as a kid every year at Christmas, plus I had the opportunity to write a couple of original songs to celebrate the season.”
At this year’s CMA Country Christmas show, Young was joined by Brad Paisley for a rendition of “The First Noel” that also appears on his album and the results are magical.
