Jana Kramer Celebrates a Perfect Night

The week was a little touch and go for Jana Kramer on her Dancing with the Stars journey, but it wouldn’t be reality television if there wasn’t a bit of drama. Dance partner and friend, Gleb Savchenko, was sidelined with an injury that left Kramer dancing with somebody brand new and facing the possibility that the man who has helped her get through some of the most trying times of her life would be watching from the audience.

Thankfully, Savchenko’s injury took a back burner to Kramer’s pleas and the professional decided to grin and bear it for the sake of the partnership. The pair performed two numbers: a waltz inspired by the Broadway show Waitress and a contemporary dance to Sia’s “Bird Set Free” as part of a foursome with Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and partner Val Chmerkovskiy. True to the theme of the night, “Showstoppers,” Kramer stopped the show as she gave two flawless performances that yielded appropriate results from the panel of judges.

Kramer and Savchenko walked away from the night with a perfect score of 80/80 (40/40 on each dance) and secured their spot in next week’s semi-finals. Congratulations to Jana Kramer! We are so happy we will be able to see you express yourself through dance for another week.
