Rumors have been circulating that Lauren Alaina is involved in a new movie, and now it has been confirmed: Alaina will be trying her hand at acting.
The talented songstress will be starring in Road Less Traveled, a movie based on Alaina’s new single off her self-titled EP. According to Billboard, the singer will be playing Charlotte, a soon-to-be bride who is attempting to strike a balance between her wedding and career. The struggle takes her back to her hometown and causes her to reevaluate where her life would have led if she hadn’t made certain choices in her past.
On taking on the acting role, Alaina stated:
I am so excited to be doing a movie. This is a whole new world for me. I’m learning so much every day. We have such an awesome cast and crew and I can’t wait for everyone to see this new side of me.
No release date has been announced as of this point.
