Garth Brooks Has a Stat That’s Bigger Than the Beatles

Garth Brooks World Tour Opening Night - Rosemont, IL

If Garth Brooks hasn’t already proven his case for Entertainer of the Year at the annual CMA Awards, try this impressive history-making/breaking stat on for size. Brooks has now become the first musician to score seven (ironically his lucky number) DIAMOND albums.

One week ago, the RIAA announced that his 2007 The Ultimate Hits has sold ten million copies, joining the ranks of six other Brooks albums: Garth Brooks, No Fences, Double Live, Sevens, The Hits, and Ropin’ the Wind. The certification broke the tie between Brooks and The Beatles, who boast an astounding six diamond albums.

Congratulations to Garth Brooks on this major career milestone!
