While summer is starting to wind down, there’s still a lot of hot music action to go around. I usually tend to focus on country concerts in the U.S., but there’s also plenty of incredible shows to visit if you live in the UK.

Ticket Select has tickets available for all genres, but here are a few of the hottest UK country shows available now.

Jason Isbell

Jason Isbell

August 21, 7:00 PM, Edinburgh, Liquid Room

August 23, 7:00 PM, Edinburgh, Liquid Room

Often called brilliant and riveting by writers reviewing his music, Jason Isbell is one of those country singers who has found great success without the need of mainstream radio. If you live in the UK, now is your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Jayhawks

The Jayhawks

September 6, 7:00 PM, London, Islington Assembly Hall

September 7, 7:00 PM, London, Islington Assembly Hall

The Jayhawks are an American alternative country and country rock band that have been around since the ’80s. They have released several studio albums, including five on the American Recordings label. On hiatus from 2005 to 2009, the band finally reunited and released an album, Mockingbird Time, in 2011. Now, five years later, and after another brief hiatus, the band released a new album, Paging Mr. Proust, this year and hit the road. Despite Rolling Stone calling their current album “rangier pop-rock,” fans of their old sound will surely be excited to catch them in London when they are there in September.

Dan and Shay

Dan + Shay

September 16, 7:00 PM, Glasgow, O2 ABC 2

September 18, 7:00 PM, Manchester, The Deaf Institute

September 19, 7:00 PM, Birmingham, O2 Institute3

September 20, 7:00 PM, London, Bush Hall

One of my personal faves, Dan + Shay recently released their sophomore album, Obsessed, so when the duo heads to the UK next month, fans can expect great music from not one but two albums. When you see them, be sure to listen to what they have to say while on stage, because aside from being great songwriters and singers, the pair are actually really funny.

Mac McAnally

Mac McAnally

September 27, 7:00 PM, London, Borderline

This is a singer/songwriter who needs basically no introduction.  In his amazing career, Mac McAnally has recorded ten studio albums and has written some of the best country music out there including Ricky Van Shelton’s Crime of Passion, Kenny Chesney’s Down the Road, Alabama’s Old Flame, and Sawyer Brown’s All These Years. Over the years, he’s been nominated for eight CMA Musician of the Year, taking home all that he’s been nominated for.

On top of all that, he’s also a member of Jimmy Buffett’s backing band, The Coral Reefer Band.

Definitely a great show to end your summer with.
