‘Daddy’s Hands’ singer, Holly Dunn, diagnosed with cancer

Holly Dunn

Some sad news to report – 80s country great Holly Dunn has revealed that she is currently battling cancer.

She originally revealed the news in an interview with Christian music website Hallels back in June, telling them at the time that she had been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer in March.

Back in March of this year, I was diagnosed with a rare, very aggressive form of ovarian cancer. If you read the statistics, it is very bleak. Good thing I don’t believe in statistics! I had surgery and now I am having chemo treatments. I have since grown more tumors and it is going to be more of a battle than I anticipated, but I have a huge faith in the healing power of God and the healing power within me that originates from my God. I look towards a future when I am completely healed and cancer free. I ask for prayers of strength and courage as this journey continues.

Despite the diagnosis, Holly says that she’s doing well and is getting a lot of support from her faith, her family, and her friends and will be okay no matter what.

“Being a Christian, I know that no matter how this chapter ends, I will be OK,” she says.

And now that the word is out, Holly will definitely be getting a lot of prayers and support from fans, which I’m sure will help make her journey a little easier.

According to Country Aircheck, Dunn is currently undergoing chemo treatments in New Mexico. Fans can send well wishes to: Holly Dunn, PO Box 70, Placitas, NM 87043

If you’d prefer to help in a more monetary way (because cancer treatment is dang expensive), Holly is a talented artist and sells her artwork through her website at hollydunn.com.
