Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Helps 41 Dogs Find New Homes

At last week’s CMA Fest, Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation set up an adoption drive at Fan Fair X in the Music City Center. According to The Tennessean, the adoption drive placed 41 lucky pups in new homes.

Ten of the newly-placed gods were Chihuahuas rescued from a hoarding situation in Oklahoma. According to Lambert, the drive would’ve been a success if one dog found a home.

Any dog would have been worth the trouble,” Lambert said to the Tennesseean of transporting the 53 dogs to CMA Fest. “We had people fighting over the dogs. We got to pick the families that we liked the best. ‘We have three qualifying homes, let’s talk about where this dog fits best.’ That doesn’t always happen.”

With the success of this year’s event, expect to see a bigger and better drive at 2017’s CMA Fest. “I’m so happy,” Lambert said. “It was the most fulfilling adoption drive I’ve ever done.”
