Miranda Lambert is bringing something different to CMA Fest this year… puppies! The singer’s canine charity, MuttNation, recently rescued 54 dogs from Oklahoma. The Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes range in age from newborn to senior, and were sent to Miranda’s Redemption ranch for healthcare and rehab.

Many of those dogs, among others from MuttNation, will be heading to their first ever CMA Fest. The dogs will be available for adoption at Fan Fair X in the Music City Center from noon to 3pm Thursday through Sunday.

MuttNation is coming to CMA Fest, and we’re just going to try and bring awareness and get these dogs adopted,” Lambert to The Tennessean. “Luckily they are Chihuahuas and everybody wants a cute little dog. I’m really glad that they caught them in time. It’s so sad. You see little dogs that have never had any love or care and you think, ‘Oh my God, is there 50 loving homes out there for these babies?’

In addition to holding the adoption drive, Lambert will hit the stage at Nissan Stadium on  Thursday night at 9:45pm.

To be able to have this platform to go, ‘Hey, I’m performing and thank you all for being faithful fans all these years, but also here’s this cause that’s near and dear to my heart and has real meaning,’ is so great,” Lambert said. “I like the fact we can bring the mobile unit and have a presence and just combine the two worlds

Just love Miranda! She actually does so much for MuttNation. My friend adopted one of her dogs when she had a MuttNation drive last Fall w/ the Opry! Great cause.
