Hillary Scott is opening up about the truly personal message behind her gorgeous hymn, “Thy Will.” The singer, best known as the lady behind Lady Antebellum, shared her story on Good Morning America, revealing that she suffered a miscarriage last fall.
Last fall, I went through a miscarriage,” she reveals tearfully. “I also feel like there’s this pressure that you’re just supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened.”
“Thy Will” comes from a place of personal pain, written from her “most raw place” as she grieved her miscarriage.
