CMT Awards To Include Crossover Collaborations

This Wednesday, June 8, the CMT Music Awards will take place as the first official event of the 2016 CMA Fest. Over the years, country music awards shows have boasted lineups that include those from outside the genre, adding a bit of extra flare to already star-studded events.

The CMT Music Awards this week promises to keep that trend going.

Billboard announced that Pitbull and Leona Lewis will be performing on the CMT stage along side No. 1 artist Cassadee Pope. The trio will sing Pitbull’s “Messin’ Around,” his new single that he recorded with Enrique Iglesias.

Also shaking things up on the country music awards show will be Cam and Fifth Harmony (performing a Cam song) and Dierks Bentley and Elle King (performing their new single, “Different Girls.”)

The CMT Music Awards will air LIVE this Wednesday night at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT.
