Chris Young Surprises Cassadee Pope At CMA Fest Press Conference

As if the night wasn’t already one for the books for Cassadee Pope, Chris Young gave his duet partner and tour mate quite the surprise following their Nashville, Tennessee Nissan Stadium performance.

Pope joined Young on stage during CMA Fest‘s Saturday night stadium show to perform their No. 1 single, “Think Of You,” in front of 60,000 country music fans. Earlier in the day, Pope shared her talents with Radio Disney and at a Bobby Bones Next Women Of Country event, gearing up for the largest live crowd she has ever entertained.

However, it wasn’t just the moments on the stage that made the night special; it was a moment Young planned for his friend off stage that made the evening shine extra bright. During the CMA Fest press conference backstage, Young surprised Pope with a plaque commemorating their now GOLD single, “Think Of You.” The RIAA honor comes in the wake of Pope releasing her Summer EP, setting the tone for the Republic Nashville singer-songwriter to burn up the charts in her own right.

Congratulations to Chris Young and Cassadee Pope on another achievement with one of the best songs of 2016! When we think of award nominations this year, we think of you!
