This past weekend, Garth Brooks got a major surprise as his wife and touring partner, Trisha Yearwood, interrupted his set when she unexpectedly walked on the stage. Brooks looked at the love of his life with confusion strewn across his face, wondering why she had joined him at that particular moment.
Then, Yearwood gave him the big news.
On Sunday night at the American Country Countdown Awards, which took place live in Los Angeles, Brooks was named the “Touring Artist Of The Year,” and Yearwood announced the big win in front of a packed house of fans. As the crowd erupted, Brooks removed his hat, thanked his wife, band, and fans, and capped it off with a celebratory kiss with his bride.
