Naomi Judd accused of making racist grits comments

Naomi Judd, the mama half of 80s staple The Judds, has been accused of not only trying to quit a new reality show she’s taking part in, but also making some racist comments involving grits.

Well then.

Last week, I told you about the reality cooking competition that LeAnn Rimes’ exhusband and Eddie Cibrian’s exwife are teaming up for. Also taking part in that show is Naomi Judd.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like Naomi has been very happy or cooperative with filming the show. According to TMZ, Naomi went on a Facebook rant, which has since been removed, about how she was lied to about the show and about the class of people she has been forced to film with.

Naomi went on the attack on Facebook claiming producers misled her about who her competition would be on the show. The other contestants include Andrew Dice Clay and his wife, Glanville and LeAnn Rimes’ ex Dean Sheremet, Ray J and Brandi, and Lance Bass and his mom Diane.

Naomi skewered most of the cast, saying Brandi’s from “one of those tawdry Housewives shows” … Ray J’s a “bad boy” who made a porn and calls Dice “a no holds barred comedian.”

After the initial report surfaced, Ray J, the singer Naomi called a “bad boy,” recorded a video and says he was made to feel uncomfortable on set when he heard Naomi making a stink about grits, a food she allegedly called “slave food.”

Hmm. It sounds like this cooking show is turning into a train wreck, which means I’ll definitely be tuning in.
