Charlie Daniels is extremely outspoken about his views on the government and everything that’s wrong with it, regularly writing his strong beliefs on his Soapbox blog. But this new video the NRA put out over the weekend is extra, extra angry American, even by Daniels’ normal angry-American standards.
In the one-minute video, which is part of a series of videos put out by the National Rifle Association, Daniels addresses the ayatollahs of Iran and their terrorist cohorts, threatening them with truck drivers and steelworkers and gator-wrestling swamp men.
To the ayatollahs of Iran and every terrorist you enable: Listen up.
You might have met our fresh-faced flower child president and his weak-kneed, Ivy League friends.
But you haven’t met America.
You haven’t met the heartland, or the people who will defend this nation with their bloody, calloused, bare hands, if that’s what it takes. You haven’t met the steelworkers and the hard-rock miners, or the swamp folks in Cajun country who can wrestle a full-grown gator out of the water.
You haven’t met the farmers, the cowboys, the loggers and the truck drivers. You don’t know the mountain men who live off the land, or the brave cops who fight the good fight in the urban war zones.
No, you’ve never met America. And you oughta pray you never do.
I’m the National Rifle Association of America, and I’m Freedom’s Safest Place.
The video never explains why the NRA is threatening/warning the ayatollahs of Iran, but Daniels’ extra-angry American presentation just sort of makes me want to put on my American flag underwear, yell f*ck yeah, find me a steelworker, a logger, and a gun and take a stand against whatever the hell Charlie Daniels tells me to take a stand against.
