Cassadee Pope recently burned up the charts (Mediabase and Billboard) with her sizzling duet with Chris Young, “Think Of You.” Keeping the heat turned up, Pope has now announced the June 3 release of her EP, Summer.
Pope has been writing over the last many months, now seeing the fruits of her labor in the form of three tracks on the forthcoming EP: “Summer,” “Piano,” and “Alien.” The lead single off the project will be the title track that looks back at a seasonal love, including lyrics like:
My heart on fire in his hands, yeah. He drove away the first of September, but I remember, yeah I remember, he talked like and he walked like and he looked like and he burned like summer.
The Summer EP was produced by No. 1 songwriter Corey Crowder (“I’m Comin’ Over,” “Think Of You”).
