During Season 10 of NBC‘s The Voice, Alisan Porter proved to be one of the most versatile artists to ever grace a reality singing competition stage. From the onset, Porter gave us blues, folk, pop, rock, and country, conquering each genre like it was the one to which she belongs. With a Universal Music Group record deal fresh off her Tuesday night win on The Voice, we are hopeful Porter gives us something a little bit country so we can continue to cover this immeasurable talent.
While this season of The Voice might have been your first introduction to Porter, many others recognize the child actress from her role as Curly Sue in the movie of the same name. Then, taking a step even further back in Porter’s life, others of us recognize her from Ron Howard‘s Parenthood, Star Search, and more.
I am one of those who followed Porter in 1987 when she was just a wee little thing who won America’s hearts on the talent competition show and remember her like it was yesterday. Far be it from me to withhold such cuteness when it is very much accessible on the Internet, so I happily share with you all one of Porter’s most precious performances, “Broadway Baby.” If her choreography doesn’t make you giggle and warm your heart, I question whether you are human.
Enjoy!
