Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood stunned America with a rockin’ duet on the finale of American Idol last week. Now, just days after the “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” performance, the two have announced their partnership on an Australian tour.
Urban and Underwood will close out 2016, traveling through Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane as part of Urban’s Ripcord Tour. Fans can expect that the two will share the stage to perform their forthcoming duet (to be released on the Ripcord album May 6), “The Fighter.”
In a statement regarding the Australian tour, Urban said:
I’ve always loved singing with her. We had written this song, “The Fighter,” that needed a female voice and Carrie’s voice immediately came to mind. I can’t wait for people to hear it — and hope that we get to do it live.
Underwood will transition straight from the end of her own tour, the Storyteller Tour, to join the Ripcord Tour for dates throughout December.
